NIGHT RIDER SPONSORED BIKE RIDE

Andy Murray and his wife Joanne own two adopted Bernese and Andy took part in the Night Rider
event on Saturday 7th June 2014.
Starting at midnight at Alexandra Palace, it is a 100km bike ride in aid of charity and it took approx 8 hours to complete, finishing back at Alexandra Palace.
There were approx 4000 riders taking part. Andy completed the ride last year and trained
hard for this years event.
Joanne explained;
"Through the night they will be passing London Tower and Westminster Bridge, Piccadilly Circus,
Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, past the Ritz, No 10 Downing Street, Parliament, Canary Wharf,
London Eye and many more landmarks. There are 4 stops for drinks, snacks and also for the
mechanics to assist if necessary. At the end they have to climb the very steep hill at Alexandra
Palace to receive a big breakfast and a gleaming medal."
The total donated to Bernese Welfare UK raised from sponsorship was £373.05 and we send our sincere thanks to Andy, Joanne and all those who sponsored this event.
